GLASTONBURY, CT — A 77-year-old Glastonbury man is accused of threatening a pizza delivery driver with a gun after multiple prank orders were sent to his house, police said.

The case dates back to April 9 and police released rthe details Friday.

A pizza order was called into a local shop for a Pratt Street address, according to a report. The resident, Samuel McClendon, denied ordering the pizza and made some comments that

"frightened" the delivery driver while displaying a handgun, police said.

It was the second time in a week that a pizza delivery was made to the residence that McClendon denied ordering, and police continue to investigate who actually ordered the pizza, a report indicates.

But because of his actions during the incident, McClendon was arrested and charged with the criminal use of a firearm, first-degree threatening and breach of peace.

McClendon was initially held on a $100,000 bond but that was reduced to a written promise to appear after his arraignment, court records show. He is due back in court on May 8, records show.
