Ribbon Cutting at Connecticut Shade & Blind
The Glastonbury store celebrated the opening of its Hunter Douglas Gallery Thursday.
The Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Hunter Douglas Gallery at Connecticut Shade & Blind Thursday.
The store at 2717 Main St. celebrated becoming a Gallery store for Hunter Douglas products. The business, which began in Glastonbury 32 years ago, recently qualified for the program, owner Ron Gattinella said.

“Being a gallery allows us to sell the entire product line,” Gattinella said. “We wanted our products to be at the same level as our stores.”
Connecticut Shade and Blind has three locations, including one in Southington and one in Orange. The stores are a family business, Gatinella said, with the other stores owned by Gattinella’s sons.
