Riverfront Boat Launch Could Be Back Open Soon: Glastonbury Officials
The Riverfront Park boat launch continues to officially be closed until further notice, but relief is in sight, officials said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Though the Riverfront Park boat launch continues to officially be closed until further notice, town officials said Wednesday that they expect access to the lower level of the boathouse will be permitted, as long as it is deemed safe by town staff members.
"Glastonbury staff will continue to evaluate the docks and surrounding areas for public safety over coming days and provide any applicable updates," town officials said.
Town officials also said residents should be aware of "a tremendous volume" of debris floating in the Connecticut River, some of which is underwater and not visible.
