Roger W. Katz, 62; Retired Sales Representative; U.S. Army Veteran Who Lived in Glastonbury

Calling hours and services are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Roger W. Katz, 62, of Glastonbury, died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born April 13, 1952 in Dennville, NJ, son of the late Otto and Dorrett (Drummond) Katz, he had lived in Glastonbury for the past 12 years.

Prior to his retirement he was a sales representative for Executive Business Machines. Roger was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a member of their men’s club. He graduated with an Associate’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Maryland, College Park. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son Jonathan N. Katz of Glastonbury, a daughter Tanya J. Katz-Peterson and her husband Jon of Hastings, MN, 2 brothers Richard Katz of Miami Springs, FL, Robert Katz of Cantonment, FL and 2 grandsons Tommy and Ben Peterson.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday Feb. 3 at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10am to 11am.

Memorial donations may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 2584 Main St., Glastonbury, CT. 06033.
