Speeding Stop In Glastonbury Leads To Fentanyl-Related Charges
Police also charged the operator with drunken driving.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A suspended driver in a speeding car not only failed a sobriety test, but had a stash of potent narcotics in the vehicle after a traffic stop over the weekend, police said.
The incident took place at 2:50 a.m. Saturday. After being seen speeding through town, a vehicle being driven by 22-year-old Glastonbury resident Thomas Diaz was stopped near the DND Food Mart, police said.
After Diaz failed a field sobriety test, police discovered a stash of loose fentanyl pills and packaging materials, according to an arrest report.

He was charged with driving under the influence, driving while under suspension, traveling unreasonably fast, the sale of narcotics, failure to keep narcotics in their original container and possession of a controlled substance.
