GLASTONBURY, CT — Students were among those without water Friday morning after a main broke in Glastonbury.

The break involved what town officials called a "significant" pipe measuring 6 inches across on Nutmeg Lane. Because of the break, the businesses on Nutmeg Lane and the CREC Magnet School, were left without water, and the school has subsequently closed for the day, town officials said.

The service disruption ended at Oak Street.
