Beginning at 12 noon, motorists should access the High School through Entrance E (driveway off of New London Turnpike) and proceed straight ahead. (This is the same entrance used to access the football fields and tennis courts.) Town staff will be stationed on site to direct traffic, therefore please drive slowly through the site. Please display proof of residency on your drivers’ side dashboard. Upon reaching the distribution point, residents will be asked to open their trunk or a rear window, and staff will place the test kits into your vehicle. Each vehicle will receive 2 COVID-19 rapid test kits, each containing 2 tests, or a total of 4 rapid tests. Test kits will be available on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last. After receiving your kits, motorists should exit slowly onto Hubbard Street.
This event is part of a state-wide distribution of COVID-19 testing kits, and is contingent upon the state’s ability to deliver the kits as scheduled this Thursday morning. Should the plan change, the Town will post any applicable updates to the Town website. Please check the News section of the website mid-morning on Thursday mid-morning to confirm that the event will be held as planned.
