[VIDEO] Hundreds Compete in Glastonbury Apple Festival 5k Race
Hundreds of runners came out for the Apple Harvest 5k Road Race, Kids 1k and Kidz Fun Run.
Runners of all ages came out to Riverfront Park for the Apple Harvest 5k Road Race, Kids 1k and Kidz Fun Run Sunday morning.
Despite grey skies and some slight drizzle, over 370 runners came out to compete the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce’s annual 5k race.

Robert Dogger, 23, placed first in the race with a time of 16:24.95, narrowly edging out second-place finisher Shaun Berard, 31, who finished in a time of 16:26.58. Jennelle Brosseau, 23, was the first woman to cross the finish line, coming in 38th overall and finishing with a time of 22:08.47.

Younger runners ages 5 to 12 also competed in a 1k race around Riverfront Park. Overall, 67 young runners competed.
Rithvik Jatti, 12, won the 1k with a time of 3:33, just beating Cameron Keenan, 12, with a time of 3:39. Casey MacElhiney, 9, won for fastest girl with a time of 4:38.
Over a dozen young children also ran in a Kidz Fun Run across the park’s fields.
Timing for all the races was provided by The Last Mile Racing.
The apple festival race is the second annual 5k hosted by the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce.
