Woman Charged With Supplying Pot To Kid While At Glastonbury Park

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 50-year-old Glastonbury woman is accused of supplying marijuana to a minor at a local park and is facing two criminal charges as a result.

According to police records, the woman was served a warrant on Feb. 8. According to the warrant, the woman provided the pot to a juvenile at Eastbury Pond in November.

The warrant has charged her with selling or giving marijuana to a person younger than 21 while being older than 23.

State statute 21a-421ddd, adopted in 2022, reads:

Any person twenty-three years of age or older who sells, delivers or gives cannabis, as defined in section 21a-420, to any person under twenty-one years of age, and who knew or should have known that such person was under twenty-one years of age, shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.

The woman has also been charged with risk of injury to a child. She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 7 after posting a $25,000 bond, records show.
