Woman Sentenced in Glastonbury Daycare Abuse Case
A second daycare staffer has been sentenced in a Glastonbury abuse case.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A former staff member at a Glastonbury daycare facility on Thursday was sentenced to six years in prison in an abuse case, court records show.
The terms will be suspended after 20 months and she will be on probation for five years, according to court records.
Nicole Mayo was arrested March 18 on three counts of risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.

The director of The Stork Club daycare facility in Glastonbury, Meegan Beach, 40, of Hebron, was charged in the case with three counts each of failure to report child abuse and risk of injury to a minor and was sentenced to 150 days in jail, according to court records.
Mayo had been accused of hitting, restraining and roughly handling children at the facility over the course of a year, and Beech had been accused of not reporting the instances to the state Department of Children and Families.

State authorities complained to police in December 2015 and a criminal investigation ensued, according to law enforcement records.
