Because last year’s Meditate for Meals was such a
success, we are holding it again this year. I hope those who supported the food
drive last year will come again and those who missed it will join us this year
for this worthy cause.
East Granby’s Park and
Recreation Department is sponsoring a town wide Meditation on Saturday, June
1st at 9:00 am at the East Granby Farms Recreation Area located at 79 North Main St., East Granby, in the event of rain it will be
held indoors. The meditation, led by East Granby
resident Josette Lumbruno, will be a
meditation on gratitude. The purpose for this is to bring the community
together and offer gratitude for our family, friends, neighbors and those we
have lost along the way. With everyone’s schedule so busy, we often do not take
the time to remember just how grateful we are as a community and individually.
No experience is necessary; Josette will guide everyone on
how to do this meditation. The meditation will be about 20 minutes long and
there will be time after it is over to visit with our friends and family
members. All East Granby residents are welcome
to bring someone with them, whether they live in town or not. Wear comfortable clothing;
bring a blanket or a folding chair and a smile.
Admission is a food item (‘s) for the East Granby Food
Pantry.
