Bears Football opened up the season against Enfield High in front of over 450 spectators

The Granby Football team opened the season 0-1 after losing to Enfield High School in the season opener 28-10.

Granby put up a total of 326 yards in total offense. They moved the ball convincingly and made it to the red zone 4 times but unfortunately only capitalized twice to come away with 10 points.

QB Curt Field was 18 of 34 for 203 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTs.

Matt Holmes kicked a 21 yard field goal.

Dominic Pagano rushed for 108 yards on 21 carries. He also caught a pass for an eight yard TD.

Connor Field led the receiving corps with 65 yards on 6 receptions.

On the defense side of the ball, Connor Field led the team with 6 tackles. Vince Lucca (1 tackle), John Brucker (2 tackles) and Mark McDermott (3 tackles) each recorded a sack.

Next up for Granby, an away game at Gilbert-Northwestern Regional on Saturday.
