COME AND MEET LOCAL HEROES AT GRANBY FARMERS’ MARKET

Our opening day was a smashing success!  Other than having to pack it in a little early due to a thunderstorm, it turned out to be a fantastic day!  A special thank you goes out to all of our vendors:   Chets Italian Ice, Sweet Wind Farm, Killam and Bassette Farmstead, Brownstone Bakery for Dogs, Free Lunch Studios, LuAnns Bakery, New England Green Mushroom, Copper Hill Farm, Reiki Health,LLC,  Beldotti's Bakery, From The Ground Up, Sustainable Health and Wellness, Winlox Farms, Beech Tree Ranch, Dr. Energy Saver, and Mama Bearfoot Books.

From The Ground Up did a fantastic job with their community garden and planting ceremony.  Harmonic Rewalk kept us entertained all afternoon!  Mike Webster gave a wonderful cooking demo using fresh ingredients from all of our vendors.  His recipes will be posted on our website www.granbyfarmersmarket.com under market recipes shortly! If you happened to miss out on opening day, you can see us on Better Connecticut with Scot Haney this Friday at 3:00 on WFSB channel 3.

This Tuesday, July 2nd , The Granby Farmers’ Market will be celebrating all of our local heroes.  Come and meet some of our brave volunteers from the Lost Acres Fire Department and Granby Ambulance Association.  You will have the opportunity to learn all about the important services these organizations provide to Granby.  Volunteers from Livestrong will also be there to promote their mission of supporting the needs of cancer survivors.

The band is made up of Chris and Dave Bugnacki, two brothers who are passionate about sharing their love of Jesus through music.  They are currently working on their first album.

The Granby Farmers’ Market would like to extend its thanks to our season sponsor Simsbury Bank for their continued support. Simsbury Bank is an independent, locally owned and managed, community oriented bank servicing the Farmington Valley and surrounding towns with a variety of products and services designed to meet the needs of individual consumers and small to mid-size businesses.
