Did you know that both Granby and East Granby Youth Service Bureaus offer free suicide prevention training to interested residents?
Suicide impacts every community, and both East Granby and Granby are no exception. To further our prevention efforts, we now have a staff member certified to present QPR training (Question, Persuade and Refer) to any interested group. This hour long training is free, and designed for older teen and adult audiences.Suicide is a leading cause of death among teens, but it impacts all age, gender and racial groups. If you would like to take part in this short, research based and effective training, simply call me at (860) 844-5355 to discuss setting up a training session. We can offer a training to as few as 5 or 6 participants, and the scheduling is flexible. Free evenings...no problem. looking at a morning time slot, that will work as well. Even weekends are an option. so please spread the word and lets get our community trained in this important prevention approach!
