East Granby Middle School Teacher Named Teacher of the Year
Susan Rosenstein called an 'exemplary educator' teaching enduring lessons.

The East Granby Public Schools announced recently that Susan Rosenstein has been chosen as the 2014 Teacher of the Year.
Rosenstein, who began teaching in East Granby in 2003, is a history and social studies teacher at East Granby Middle School. According to a release from the district, Rosenstein engages her students in profound ways, leading them to develop a deeper understanding of history and its ramifications for the present world. She has also inspired students to take action in the community by planning and participating in projects that meet the needs of various groups of people, both in East Granby and the world.Â
“Susan is a consummate professional and a pioneer in many ways,” says the release. “Susan is enthusiastic and demonstrates keen interest in ensuring that her students succeed. She embraces and utilizes technology to expand learning opportunities, but also to teach her students that technology can and will enhance their lives forever.

As the district’s teacher of the year, Rosenstein will go on to represent East Granby in the statewide Teacher of the Year competition.Â
