LIVE MUSIC IN THE PARK! FREE 6:30PM SHOWS

There is no better spot in the Farmington Valley to catch some live outdoor music than Salmon Brook Park.  Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy ample parking, our concession stand and great live music this summer!  These performances are made possible this summer by the local businesses, residents and volunteers who supported Granby’s 225th Anniversary Celebration in the fall of 2011.  NEW this year!  Children can enjoy playing in our bounce house at each concert provided by BOUNCE ABOUT of Canton.

Thursday, July 11 at 6:30PM  KICK is widely regarded as one of the best-sounding, most sonically accurate, professional, and visually entertaining rock shows in North America. KICK’s professionalism and the diversity of their repertoire has enabled them to open for acts as varied as international 80’s pop icons Duran Duran and modern rock legends Staind (not to mention ska kings Reel Big Fish, grunge stars Filter, and a variety of other major label acts too numerous to mention).  They’ve brought their unique brand of musical entertainment to venues from the ski mountains of Vermont to the beach resorts of Newport, the Jersey Shore, Block Island, and Cape Cod.

The July 11 show also features our Annual Ice Cream Social.  The cost for the delicious sundaes is $2 for adults and $1 for kids 15& under.

Thursday, July 18 at 6:30PM  DARIK AND THE FUNBAGS is one of New England’s hottest cover bands and they are coming our way! Featured on VH1’s Battle of the Covers Darik and the Funbags have serious talent. Come join us for some classic rock and Top 40 tunes and prepare to have FUN! They have performed in festivals, clubs and parks all over New England to packed crowds.  Darik and the Funbags has been thrilling Connecticut audiences for many years with their special blend of party music. Thursday, July 25 at 6:30PM  THE BUS DRIVERS are a band backed by a lifetime of experience and passion for playing music. Featuring members of several successful Connecticut bands, The Bus Drivers prides itself on putting on a spectacular show wherever and whenever the band plays. Mixing classic rock, blues rock, southern rock and a little bit of country rock too, the band's diverse song choices and unique arrangements allow The Bus Drivers to play a little something for everyone. In addition, the band's professionalism and musicianship help separate The Bus Drivers from other bands on the scene. The Bus Drivers are a diverse and talented group of musicians, enabling them to cover an incredibly wide variety of artists, including everyone from The Rolling Stones to Johnny Cash, the Allman Brothers Band to The Grateful Dead, Steve Miller to Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty to the Zac Brown Band and many more
