Granby Artists Association Hosting Family Fun Day Saturday, May 11

The Granby Artists Association is hosting a free family fun day at Holcomb Farm on Saturday, May 11. 

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes the following: 

• Painter Laura Eden will guide you through painting on plexiglass then printing on rice paper.
• Artists Suzanne Magoon, Anne Winsor and Sally Sargent Markey will mentor a children’s art area.
  
• Woodworker Paul Hahn will help you to build a wooden creation!
  
• Jewelry artist Lori Catlin Garciaand others will help you make custom jewelry.
  
• Photographer Robin Sidwell will show you how to compose images and print them.
  
• Cartoon artist Matt Ryan will make caricatures and show you how to draw comic pages.
  
• Painters Pam Jones and Rosemarie Mendes will help you experiment with watercolors and pastels.
  
• Artist Carole Day will help you create sculptures with paper.
  
• Artist Bill Scheel will lead a community paint using spray paint tools and other Granby Artists and GHS students will help you create an acrylic/oil painting and mural!
