Everyone knows that the Granby Farmers’ Market is the place to go for fresh Connecticut Grown produce from our local farmers, but did you know it is going to be showcasing our best local entertainers too? You will be able to enjoy great music while you do your shopping at the Granby Farmers’ Market. We will have returning favorites from last season, like Bill Benson and Hannah’s Field as well as some entirely new bands, like Simsbury’s Harmonic Rewalk and saxophone quartet Brown Paper Sax. Ken Haller and Anne DeMichiela will also be performing. Rock, folk, country, big band, hippie rasta folk, acoustic, we will have a great variety of music that will appeal to everyone. The Granby Farmers’ Market is open every Tuesday from 3:00-6:30 from June 25th through September 10th at the Farmington Valley YMCA, 97 Salmon Brook Street, Granby. This year, along with a wonderfully unique assortment of fresh local foods, we will have cooking demonstrations by local chef Mike Webster and a different theme for each week with fun activities, games and learning opportunities for the whole family.
