Granby Farmers’ Market Announces Family Fun Theme Days

The Granby Farmers’ Market Committee is gearing up for an exciting season. Aside from having a wonderful selection of fresh, nutritious, Connecticut Grown produce; The Granby Farmers’ Market will have great entertainment and lots of fun for the whole family. Each week will have its own theme with fun activities, games, and learning opportunities:

June 25th Opening day - opening ceremony and planting ceremony for kids

July 2nd Local Heroes
- come and meet Granby’s local heroes
July 9th Health and Wellness - come and learn how to be your healthiest
July 16th Backyard Chickens - come and learn about raising your own chickens
July 23rd Going Green - come and learn about upcycling and what you can do to save the planet
July 30th Historical Society day - come and celebrate Granby’s history
August 6th Circus Day - clowns, acrobats, face painting, lots of fun for everyone
August 13th Family Fitness and Bike Safety - fun ways to get the whole family in shape
August 20th Dog Days of Summer - dogs need to eat healthy too!
August 27th Literacy Day - lots of fun reading activities for the kids

September 3rd Honor Our Farmers
- a tribute to all the local farmers who have provided fresh locally grown food for us this season
September 10th Teen Battle Chef and Local Chefs - great cooking demonstrations

The Granby Farmers’ Market will be open every Tuesday 3:00-6:30 from June 25th – September 10th at the Farmington Valley YMCA, 97 Salmon Brook Street, Granby.
