INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED ARTIST’S PAINTING DONATION TO CT HISTORICAL SOCIETY

An oil painting, Mill Pond Village 1953, by Sylvia Davis Patricelli, internationally recognized Australian artist has been donated by her daughter Susan Patricelli-Regan to the CT Historical Society in memory of her mother. For many years Mrs. Patricelli participated and supported the cultural scene in the greater Hartford area while a West Hartford resident and wife of  Anthony Patricelli, Veeder Root Executive and member of the CT State Golf Association. The Mill Pond painting will become part of CHS’s new initiative project “The Artist and the Connecticut Landscape”, which will be adding approximately five hundred oil paintings and watercolors from a group of eleven State institutions to Connecticut History Online which represents the changing face of CT in the twentieth Century.
