Our Companions is searching for families to adopt several socialized cats that were among 40 seized from a home in Bloomfield on May 17th. The cats have been living at Bloomfield Animal Control, but the town does not have the funds to continue boarding them. Their adoption is of the utmost importance, as these cats have experienced varying stages of suffering and neglect their entire lives. To adopt, contact Christine Sparks, Bloomfield Animal Control, at (860) 242-5501 ext. 450. Founded ten years ago, Our Companions Animal Rescue’s central governing principle is to do the right thing for animals regardless of the challenge or the cost. The organization’s staff of 9 and team of over 200 volunteers go to extraordinary lengths to help animals in need today while working to prevent animals from becoming homeless tomorrow through its various programs and services addressing the root causes of pet homelessness.
