This Tuesday is Hawaiian Day at The Granby Farmers' Market!

Come and say Aloha to all our local farmers!  This Tuesday, July 30th, will be Hawaiian Day at the Granby Farmers’ Market.  Dig that old Hawaiian shirt out of the closet and come join the fun! We will have a Hawaiian themed craft for the children and a scavenger hunt.  Everyone participating in the scavenger hunt will be entered in a drawing to win $10 in Market Bucks to be redeemed at the following week’s market.  Our entertainer for the day will be Anne DiMichiela.

We will have our usual vendors, providing delicious local fare.  Capa Di Roma has an excellent selection of three cheese, tomato basil, and roasted garlic marinara.  They also have balsamic vinegar and olive oil.  Be sure to stop be Beech Tree Ranch to sample their chevre, it’s absolutely delicious and now comes in a pesto sun dried tomato flavor!  They also have farm fresh eggs.  If the summer heat gets to be too much, stop by Chet’s Italian Ice for a cool refreshing treat!

Despite getting off to a wet start, last week's Going Green day was a hit.  Hannah's Field provided great music for us, in the kid's craft tent we were making beads from recycled magazines, and Chef Mike made some more delicious dishes with ingredients from our vendors.  His recipes will soon be posted on our website.
