A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most accessible and wacky comedies about young love. Watkinson School's production is set in the present day in a beach town near a tropical forest of brilliantly colored magic flowers--made of swim noodles. It's a tropical fever dream of a play, celebrating marriage and the trials we undergo en route to true love and deepening self-knowledge. Shows are at 7:30 on February 21st and 22nd in the Foisie Amphitheater at Watkinson School, 180 Bloomfield Avenue, in Hartford. Tickets are available at the door. $5 for students (at any school or college) and senior citizens; $10 for adults.
Watkinson School is Hartford's oldest independent day school serving students in grades 6-12/PG
