On June 7 at approximately 3:41 p.m., officers working in the central Greenwich business district noticed "suspicious activity" at a bank on Greenwich Avenue.
Officers detained three men, later identified as Kameli, Benton and Austin, police said.
An investigation found that Parsa conspired with the other two men and tried to cash a counterfeit check in the amount of $2,474.
A search of Benton's car found six counterfeit checks with the same victim check issuer, police said. Additionally, the check that was used just prior was found torn to pieces, police noted.
All three men were unable to post bonds of $15,000. They're scheduled to appear in court on June 21.
