Arrest Made In Greenwich Vandalism Investigation: Police
Police said they have received multiple reports recently of damage consistent with BBs or small caliber projectiles to residential property.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department on Wednesday announced an arrest in connection with an investigation into multiple vandalism incidents involving damaged property from projectiles in the areas of Putnam Hill and Putnam Park.
Christopher Link, 58, of Greenwich, turned himself in at police headquarters on Monday on an arrest warrant that charged him with two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of illegal discharge of a firearm, and two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, police said.
Over the past several months, police have received multiple reports of damage consistent with BBs or small caliber projectiles to residential windows, vehicles and property, police said.

Most recently on March 26, several projectiles struck an apartment window in Putnam Hill and caused interior damage, police noted.
"Forensic analysis indicated the projectiles originated from a direction consistent with Link’s residence," police noted. "Further investigation revealed similar damage to vehicles and residences in the immediate area, with multiple recovered projectiles, a .22 caliber bullet, and surveillance evidence linking the trajectory to Link’s apartment."

Link was released on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court at a later date.
"The Greenwich Police Department appreciates the assistance and cooperation of the community in this investigation," police said. "This is an on-going investigation in which additional charges may be forthcoming."
