Attorney Accused of Robbing Greenwich Bank Investigated for Similar Crime: Reports

GREENWICH, CT — Meighan Marie McSherry, 46, the New York City attorney accused of robbing a Greenwich bank last week, reportedly is being investigating in connection with another bank robbery.

Authorities are looking into whether the former public defender tried to rob a Chase Bank in New York City two days before the Aug. 4 Greenwich crime, reports the Greenwich Time.

Both robberies had similar characteristics, namely the blonde suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money and warning of having a weapon, writes the Hartford Courant. But no weapon was ever displayed.

McSherry remains in custody on a $200,000 bond.
