Barbara L. Hong-Supp, College Professor Who Served Boards of the Greenwich YMCA, United Way
Calling hours will be held on Dec. 27 with the funeral scheduled for Dec. 28.

Barbara Lynn Hong-Supp, of Greenwich, passed away Dec. 23, 2013 after a long illness.
She was born in 1953 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Hong.
Barbara graduated from FDR High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1970. She went on to attend Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, where she met her husband Joseph. She then continued with her studies at Stonybrook University, and post-graduate studies at Brooklyn College and New York University. For many years, she was an adjunct faculty member of the City University of New York teaching political science at various colleges of CUNY, Baruch College and Jay John College.
She also was active in the Greenwich community serving on the Board of the Greenwich YMCA and with the United Way of Greenwich. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rye Brook, NY.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joseph Supp, and her brother Barry Hong of St. Louis, MO. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her oldest brother, Robert J. Hong.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, on Friday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 761 King St., in Rye Brook, NY at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28.
