I discovered my lump in late 2007 and while nothing was picked up in the mammogram, I insisted there was something there which the ultrasound revealed as “suspicious.” Long story short it was breast cancer.

My view of life and love changed despite being diagnosed again a year later with thyroid cancer. I believe cancer saved my life. It has made me a better person. It led to my second child being born. It led to new feelings in my heart and to a life I only imagined could be possible, one of new friends, renewed faith, beautiful experiences.
Beyond mere coincidences I have moved outside my comfort zone to that good place of self discovery, being me owning that insatiable desire to give back and be happy. I have no regrets.
