Car Stolen From Train Station Parking Lot In Greenwich: PD
Police said a vehicle was stolen from a train station parking lot in Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — A 2018 Mercedes-Benz convertible was stolen from the Old Greenwich Train Station parking lot Tuesday, according to police. Lieutenant John Slusarz said Thursday afternoon the vehicle had not yet been located.
Last weekend, police investigated two other vehicle thefts in town. According to Slusarz, a Mazda 3 was stolen from a driveway on Dorchester Lane sometime between Aug. 16 and 17. The vehicle was later recovered in another town.
A 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE was also stolen from Lake Avenue sometime between Aug. 17 and 18, Slusarz said. That vehicle was also recovered in another town.

Last month, police investigated three vehicle thefts, including a 2016 BMW M4 that was stolen on July 14 on Chapel Street. Two others were stolen between July 7 and 9, according to police.
"The takeaway is that people should remember to lock their cars and take the keys with them when they park," Slusarz said in an email to Patch last month. "Unlocked cars with the keys or fobs in them are just as likely to be stolen from a private driveway as a public parking lot."
