Charles Danforth 'Danny' Lewis, 74; Retired Electrician Who Was a Greenwich Resident

Charles Danforth Lewis (Danny) of Greenwich, Connecticut and the Villages, Florida died at the Greenwich Hospital on August 15th, 2015, surrounded by family.
He was born on March 31, 1941 in Port Chester, New York to Alice Ferris Lewis and Charles O. Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Andrea Riis Lewis and his three daughters Tara Lewis Stefan (Eric), Kari Ann Lewis (Mike DePetrillo) and Shellie Lewis Hone (Kevin). He was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Kiera Lewis McGirl (Shawn), Reis Stefan, Alexander, Brayden and Connor Hone. Danny is also survived by his sister Myra Lewis Poulten and her son Keith and his family of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Charles – Danny to his friends, Poppy to his family – had a lifelong career as a Union Electrician, last with IBEW Local #3in New York. After successfully raising a family he was gifted with a happy retirement chasing the elusive white ball and the 300 game in bowling. He and his lifetime companion Andrea, traveled extensively on their trips back and forth from Greenwich to the golf courses of The Villages. He was fortunate to be able to devote his life to family and many close friends. His easy smile and calm nature will be missed by all whose lives he was a part of.

There will be a visitation at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, Ct. on Wednesday August 19, 2015 from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
