Connecticut DMV Wait Times Drop Across State
New efforts to streamline the DMV waiting process have led to less time in line for customers.

Department of Motor Vehicles wait times are dropping across the state thanks to new streamlining efforts, according to Gov. Dannel Malloy.
A pilot program conducted at two branches has now expanded to other branches.
“We are focused on end-to-end customer service and that is how these pilot projects were structured and the approach we are taking to our other branches as we duplicate these pilots,” DMV Commissioner Michael Bzdyra said.

DMV branch doors were opened 15 minutes early in order for workers to review paperwork before seeing customers in order to alleviate the morning rush.
A quick ticket system was also implemented to give customers a service ticket when they walk in the door instead of them having to wait in one line for a ticket and another line for service.

"State government needs to find ways to improve customer service in a cost-effective manner, and with this series of improvements, we’re doing just that,” Malloy said.
