Emily Catherine Fedorko, 16; Greenwich High School Honors Student

Calling hours for the GHS junior will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10, with a funeral Mass scheduled for Monday, Aug. 11.

Emily Catherine Fedorko, 16, beloved daughter of Joseph Michael Fedorko Jr. and Pamela Gagne Fedorko passed away tragically in a boating accident in Greenwich on Aug. 6, 2014.

Emily was scheduled to begin her junior year at Greenwich High School. She was a high honors student and an active gymnast and lacrosse player at the high school. In earlier times she was a cheerleader for the North Mianus Bulldogs. She had a sweet voice and appeared in theater productions at Greenwich High.

An excellent swimmer, Emily had a Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation and this summer took a safe boating and personal watercraft course. She had also recently obtained her drivers permit.

Emily had close knit family and many friends in Greenwich and in Westbrook, where her family spent summers. She will be greatly missed by all.

Emily received all of her sacraments at the St. Clement Parish and recently completed much community service there.

In addition to her devoted parents she is survived by a brother, Joseph Patrick; a sister, Kelsey Rose; paternal grandmother Rosemarie Fedorko, Trumbull, and maternal grandparents Catherine and Paul Gatesman of Ludlow, MA. Also, Uncles Douglas Fedorko and wife Joyce, Huntington; Michael Fedorko Sr., Easton; Aunt Linda Bonitati, Trumbull; Uncles Peter Gagne and wife Tracey, Georgia, and John Gagne and wife Christina, Georgia. Cousins Elizabeth, Cynthia, and Mary, Trumbull; Michael Jr. and Curtis Fedorko, Monroe; Sean, Andrew and Michael Gagne, Georgia. Also, cherished relatives, Arlene & Gerald Millbauer, Easton; and other Millbauers, Franklins, Hauswirths, and canine friend, Bailey.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Fedorko Sr.; her maternal grandfather, Arthur Gagne; and her maternal step-grandfather Mark Coffey.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, Aug 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 535 Fairfield Ave., in Stamford. Interment will follow to Putnam Cemetery, in Greenwich.
