Enfield State Rep Is Allowed to Enter Alcohol Education Program Following DUI Arrest
Upon completion of the program, the charges reportedly could be dismissed.

A state judge has granted Enfield state Rep. David Alexander, who was arrested on drunken driving charges, admission to an alcohol education program that could lead to the dismissal of the charges.
The 33-year-old Alexander, who was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving by Windsor Locks Police on Feb. 28, was granted admission into the program on Tuesday, according to The Courant.
Following his arrest, the Democrat from the 58th District, was stripped of his vice-chairmanship of the Government Administration and Elections Committee by Democratic House Speaker Brendan Sharkey.

After receiving his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006, Aleander served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps and is now a captain in the Marine Reserves. He also is a member of the Enfield Democratic Town Committee.
Alexander also serves the legislature’s Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee; the Public Health Committee and the Veterans Committee.
