Greenwich Police Make 'Significant Adjustments' To Protect Jewish Community
Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey posted a message to Facebook Friday reiterating the department is committed to protecting all residents.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department said Friday it has made "significant adjustments" to its patrol operations in order to enhance the safety and security of the Jewish community in light of the recent terror attacks and violence in Israel.
Earlier this week, the former chief of the terrorist group Hamas called for protests and for people to join the fight against Israel across the Muslim world in support of Palestine on Friday, Oct. 13, Reuters reported.
"I would like to say first and foremost, the officers of the Greenwich Police Department have an unwavering commitment of carrying out our duty to protect and serve all in the community, especially our most vulnerable populations," GPD Chief James Heavey said in a message posted to the department's Facebook page.
