Grace M. Rich, 98; Retired Executive Secretary; Award-Winning Competitive Dancer

Grace M. Rich passed away peacefully on July 27, 2015.

Grace was born on October 18, 1916 to Rocco and Marie Christensen Rich in Greenwich.

She was a lifelong Greenwich resident and graduated from Greenwich High School. Grace was a loyal and devoted employee for over 50 years as an Executive Secretary to Jerry Porricelli at Porricelli’s Food Mart in Old Greenwich.

Grace loved to dance and was a student of Arthur Murray Studios. She danced competitively in NYC and won several competitions. She was an avid Mets fan, enjoyed late night TV shows and loved to shop. Grace was a huge presence in the lives of all her family. She loved spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed.

Grace is predeceased by her parents and brothers George, Leonard, and Charles.

She is survived by her brother Robert W. Rich, sisters, Florence Rich, and Gloria Krahn and her husband Chris, and a sister- in- law Katherine Rich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 10:30 A.M. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich. Interment to follow at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Rd., Greenwich.
