Greenwich Couple's 20-Year Commitment Leads To $1 Million Donation To Breast Cancer Alliance

The organization has helped numerous​ Connecticut and Westchester County, NY medical groups and programs in the fight against breast cancer.

GREENWICH, CT — With a $50,000 donation this month, Greenwich residents Robert and Paula Burton fulfilled a 20-year promise of donating $1 million to the Greenwich-based Breast Cancer Alliance, reports the Greenwich Time.

Over the years, the Burton's donations have been invaluable contributions to the alliance, according to Executive Director Yonni Wattenmaker, and the money has been targeted to helping provide mammograms to people who otherwise could not afford them.

Founded in 1996, the Breast Cancer Alliance has helped numerous Connecticut and Westchester County, NY medical and outreach institutions and programs in the fight against breast cancer.
