The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Developing a plan to address and properly fund priority capital projects which should include actions to prepare for more frequent and severe weather events due to climate change and goals for sustainable buildings. Reinstitute a process that is transparent and clear to avoid crisis management and unnecessary delays.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The key differentiator in this election is the Democrats voting record in favor of supporting our schools and planning for a sustainable future and prudently replacing assets once they reach the end of their useful life. We also support addressing shortfalls in public safety with respect to fire coverage town-wide.

Accomplishments:

I have 19 years of local government experience and have voted on 19 operating and capital budgets. I have professional finance experience. I have a record of community service with the schools and non-profits, and understand that budgets represent the values of the community.

Other issues:

Unnecessary delays are costly, both in terms of increased costs when ultimately dealt with and neglected infrastructure which requires higher operating expenses. Strategic investments benefit our economy, our residents quality of life and our competitiveness with the surrounding communities.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

The Democrats have a track record of keeping tax rates low. The slate of six candidates are experienced finance and legal professionals. We will achieve a higher quality of life with low tax rates through sound fiscal planning and increased transparency and accountability.
