According to his LinkedIn profile, Flood has taught at Eagle Hill School, a college preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades eight to 12, since 2000.

"Eagle Hill’s top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our students. As soon as we became aware of the charges against a faculty member, the employee was removed from campus, placed on unpaid administrative leave and barred from Eagle Hill's campus and properties," Head of School Gretchen Larkin said in a statement to Patch. "We are deeply troubled by this news and are working closely and cooperating fully with law enforcement."

The Greenwich Police Department said its Special Victims Section received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's cyber tip line that indicated child pornography had been downloaded to a device in Greenwich.

"The investigation alleges that electronic media devices belonging to Flood received known images of child pornography. Further, during the course of the investigation, investigators discovered several videos of children playing and conducting normal child activities as part of their day," police said in a news release. "The videos were taken in a private setting and, from the focal point, were filmed in a manner that would indicate the children nor their parents gave consent to being videoed or had knowledge they were being videoed."

Flood was given a bond of $500,000 and a court date of Feb. 28. Police noted an investigation is ongoing, and investigators are working to identify any potential victims.

"The Greenwich Police Department understands the impact these types of arrests may have on the community and continues its efforts to protect vulnerable members of our community from child predators," police said in a news release. "We will proactively address any threats and encourage the community to keep us aware of suspicious activity. We encourage parents to utilize available resources to help educate themselves and their children on the dangers of child exploitation."
