Greenwich Nursing Home Fined by State

GREENWICH, CT- Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation was fined $1,530 after the Department of Public Health found a partially paralyzed resident fell out of a wheelchair.

The resident's foot got stuck under the chair and the director of rehabilitation said the resident's chair should have had leg rests, according to the Connecticut Health Investigative Team. The resident sustained a cut to his or her face.

The home's administrator said the home didn't agree with many of the state's findings and entered into dispute resolution.
