Greenwich Nursing Home Fined By State For Facility Issue: Report

The organization was one of more than a half-dozen fined by state officials recently for lapses in care and other concerns.

GREENWICH, CT — Regal Care at Greenwich was fined by the state recently for a problem with its water, reports Connecticut Health I-Team, one of seven nursing homes in Connecticut to receive fines for lapses in care and other concerns.

The Greenwich facility was fined $330 because several of its sinks had excessively hot water when tested by state officials last summer and fall, writes author Cara Rosner.

The fine was issued by the state Department of Public Health (DPH), which monitors the state's nursing homes to ensure the safety of residents.
