Greenwich Obituary: Olive 'Ollie' Masna, a Lifelong Byram Resident

Calling hours are scheduled for Friday evening with the funeral set for June 1.


Olive 'Ollie' L. Masna, a lifelong Byram resident, passed away peacefully on May 30. She was 90.

She was a daughter of the late Ralph and Gertrude Lund of Byram. She lived her entire life in the home where she was born.

Always a thoughtful and compassionate person to family and friends, Mrs. Masna made others feel welcomed and appreciated. Her warmth and genuine commitment to her family and friends enriched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her hobbies included sewing, arts and crafts, gardening and cooking. She spent many hours creating arts and crafts projects with her children.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother George.

Mrs. Masna is survived by her beloved husband Stanley D. Masna with whom she recently celebrated their 67th anniversary. She was the devoted mother of Pamela (Vito) Matturro, Robin (Michael) Daher, and John (Patricia Wilson) Masna; Grandchildren: Melissa (Gus) Bertoff, Donald Matturro, Matthew Daher, Patrick (Nicole) Daher; and great-grandson Brayden Daher. She also is survived by Barbara Lund.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 31, at Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich. Church services will be R 10 a.m., June 1, at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich. Burial will  follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
