Greenwich Police Charge Teen with Breaking into Parked Cars
Police were called by a witness who saw the car burglaries.

A 19-year-old is facing burglary and larceny charges in connection with the daytime burglaries of parked cars in the area of West Putnam Avenue and Columbus Avenue.
Police were called by a witness who saw “a suspicious subject attempting to enter parked cars” in the area of 364 W. Putnam Ave. at 10:24 a.m. March 30, according to a police report. The suspect was found nearby at 401 W. Putnam Ave.
The suspect, identified as Justin K. Munoz, 19, of 405 Willett Ave., Port Chester, NY, was found in possession of “numerous items” taken from the cars. Munoz admitted to entering to vehicles and “removing small amounts of cash and electronic items from (the) vehicles,” according to the report.

Munoz was charged with three counts of criminal attempt at third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear April 6 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
