Greenwich Police Department Promotes 6 Officers
A promotional swearing-in ceremony was held last week at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department recently promoted six officers within the ranks.
A promotional swearing-in ceremony was held last week at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center.
James Bonney was promoted from captain to the rank of deputy chief, filling the vacancy left by Kraig Gray who retired last year. In this role, Bonney will be commanding the GPD's Administrative and Professional Standard Bureau.

Patrick Smyth was elevated from lieutenant to captain and will command the Support Services Division as well as continue his job as the department's public information officer.
Daniel Bucci was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant and will assume the duties of the support services commanding officer, according to the department.

Jason Lyman, who also previously worked as a sergeant, is now a lieutenant who will lead Platoon A in patrol.
Brian Perusse is now a sergeant after serving as a detective, and Andrew Grecco, a marine officer, now has the rank of sergeant. Both men will be assigned as desk sergeants in the patrol division.
