The accused was allegedly swiping gift cards that were being sent to local residents.

GREENWICH, CT — A 43-year-old Norwalk man, who worked as a postal mail carrier in Greenwich, was arrested on more than a dozen counts of larceny and credit card fraud after authorities discovered that he had been stealing gift cards that had been mailed to Greenwich residents.
Ismail Laksabi, of Springdale Court, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday following a months-long investigation by Greenwich police, the Inspector General's office of the United States Postal Service and the Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force, according to Greenwich police.
The investigation was launched in late November, but authorities did not disclose how Laksabi allegedly stole the cards, for how long he was taking them nor how much he is accused of accumulating in the theft.
