Greenwich Rehab Center Fined
A rehab center was fined after a resident fell and broke a thigh bone.

GREENWICH, CT- Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation was fined $630 by the state Department of Public Health after a resident fell and broke a thigh bone March 6.
The resident at first didn't appear to be inured at first and a registered nurse changed the electronic medical record two days later to say that the resident was in pain and the leg appeared one inch shorter, according to the Connecticut Health Investigation Team.
The nurse didn't notify a doctor or order X-rays and changed the record on the order of the director of nursing services who no longer works at the home.An X-ray was later ordered and the resident hospitalized.
