Democratic Greenwich Selectman Drew Marzullo has announced he will seek a fourth term to the three-member board.
“Over the past six years, I have cherished my role as a leader in the Greenwich Democratic Party, and I would be honored to represent you for another term. I once again respectfully ask for your support and vote,” Marzullo said in a letter to the Democratic Town Committee on Friday.

Marzullo cited his ability to reach across party lines to work with the Republican majority of the board “while not compromising on the spirit of the Democratic platform. While we may be the minority party, I truly believe our strong convictions and loud voice add tremendous value to Greenwich as a whole.”
Marzullo added, “ I truly believe that we Democrats have made a difference in the lives of so many who live work and visit our great town. I hope you would agree that even when I got it wrong (or even failed), it was not without trying or learning for the future.”

The 44-year-old Marzullo said that “Some of the more recent initiatives that I am most proud to support include a state-of-the-art educational facility at New Lebanon, a proactive town-wide soil cleanup plan, the rehabilitation of Armstrong Court and, of course, a soon-to-be-built town-wide pool located in Byram.”
He added, “I am deeply committed to seeing these projects through to their completion, as well as tackling new infrastructure and policy challenges to better serve the Greenwich residents in their daily lives. I will continue to lend my voice and advocate for public safety issues, traffic calming and responsible financial borrowing.”
A lifelong Cos Cob resident, Marzullo has worked as a professional paramedic for Greenwich Emergency Medical Service for more than 20 years.
Marzullo’s reelection announcement follows the announcement Wednesday by incumbent Republican First Selectman Peter Tesei that he will seek a fifth term. Tesei will be joined on the ballot by John Toner who was appointed in January to fulfill the unexpired term of Selectman Dave Theis who unexpectedly passed away Dec. 23.
