Greenwich Teen Is Charged with Burglarizing Former Employer
Days after the teen was fired by a Greenwich Avenue restaurant, he is accused of burglarizing it.

A Greenwich teen was held in Greenwich Police custody over the weekend after he was arrested on burglary and larceny charges stemming from the illegal entry into a Greenwich Avenue restaurant.
According to police, the suspect was arrested on Saturday afternoon — the day after the incident at Versailles at 339 Greenwich Ave.
The suspect had been fired by restaurant management, according to Lt. Kraig Gray. A security video showed the suspect entering the restaurant and “participating in the burglary in which he stole $50 from the cash register,” according to the report.

Gray said the suspect “let himself in with a key he should have never had possession of.”
After seeing the video, restaurant management called the suspect who went to the restaurant and offer to make restitution, Gray said. Management called police.

Jeremy R. O’Connell, 19, of 142 Lower Cross Rd., Greenwich, was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of marijuana.
O’Connell was unable to post bond and was held in police custody until an appearance in state Superior Court in Stamford on Monday.
