Greenwich Town Hall To Reopen On 'Appointment Only' Basis

GREENWICH, CT — Town officials announced Wednesday evening Greenwich Town Hall will reopen to visitors June 1 on an appointment-only basis. According to First Selectman Fred Camillo, appointments will be available from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must be made in advance with individual departments.

Visitors will be greeted at the front door of the building by the individual with whom they have an appointment, and walk-ins will not be permitted. Visitors must wear face masks to gain entry to the building, which has been closed to the public since March.

As operations begin to resume at Town Hall, residents are encouraged to continue to conduct business online or over the phone and only make appointments to come to the building if necessary.

Camillo also said employees will receive training in sanitizing work stations, proper social distancing and safety protocols, as well as cloth face masks, next week.

Town Hall meeting and conference rooms will remain closed for meetings, and boards and commissions will continue to conduct meetings virtually until further notice.

The Greenwich Senior Center, as well as the Greenwich Library system and the Perrot Memorial Library, will remain closed until further notice, Camillo said.
