CT Weather: 90s Today, More Storms Friday and Saturday Possibly

And the weekend weather forecast has also taken a turn for the worse.

This summer has featured only two kinds of weather in Connecticut, one, hazy, hot and humid and the other very stormy with heavy rain. And right on cue we'll see both of those weather scenarios over the next few days including the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Alert for parts of the state as temps will climb into the 90s and the humidity will make it feel even warmer than that. And on Friday a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the entire state in advance of thunderstorms that may "produce strong winds and heavy rain" Friday afternoon and evening. Flash flooding is also a concern too. In Northern Connecticut, the weather service says some storms may be strong to severe Friday afternoon and into Saturday. Saturday now also appears to be unsettled as storms and showers are possible. The National Weather Service says, "Plenty of sunshine is expected today as high pressure builds. It will be a hot day as temperatures rise and peak in the lower to mid 90s. Partly cloudy conditions are forecast for tonight along with warm overnight low temperatures."

"Clouds begin to increase Friday as a cold front slowly approaches from the west. Temperatures warm through the 80s, reaching 90 in spots, and humidity levels will be rather high. Showers and
thunderstorms are expected to move in from west to east, mainly late in the day and during the evening hours. The front slowly moves across the area Saturday. Unsettled weather is expected along with cooler conditions."
