Helen T. Yusko, 90; Lifelong Glenville Resident Who Enjoyed Gardening

Helen Theresa Yusko, 90, passed away at Greenwich Hospital surrounded by family on Monday, July 6, 2015.

She was born on September 22, 1924 in Glenville, CT to John and Theresa Borowiec.

Helen lived in Glenville her whole life and was a homemaker. Helen loved to garden taking pride in the flowers she planted both at home and at St Mary’s Cemetery where she visited daily. She also loved animals. The birds, rabbits and squirrels in her yard never went hungry. Some of her favorite times out and about were taking her grandchildren to McDonalds.

She is survived by her 2 sons Joseph and John; 7 grandchildren William, Jill, Robin, Velvet, Tiffany, Melissa, Michael; 11 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Greta, the late Nora Rose, Izak, Evan, Lindsey, Stella-Marie, Vallerie, Christopher, Aiden, Sean and her cat Susie.

Helen is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph and daughter Mary. Calling hours will be held at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3 on Friday July 10, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
